The radiofrequency energy heats skin tissue in the subcutaneous layer of the skin where cellulite forms. This process is designed to increase the breakdown of fat cells. The accompanying vacuum therapy allows the heat to reach deeper and can improve the elasticity of the web of fibrous bands below the skin that create cellulite’s characteristic appearance. Cellulite can be treated in areas of the body including the buttocks, thighs and abdomen.
Cellulite treatment using Reaction™ is generally comfortable, with many of our patients saying it feels like a deep tissue massage. A series of 4 to 8 treatment sessions will be needed depending on factors such as the size of the treatment area and the amount of cellulite present.
